A Vault is a shared space on a Deal that contains the files you choose to share externally. Lev automatically creates a Vault named "Deal Room" on every Deal by default, and you can create additional Vaults to control which files each recipient can access. Understanding Vault

Every file you upload to Lev appears in All Files , your personal view of your company's shared file library. From there, you choose how the file should be used: keep it private to yourself, make it visible to your company, attach it to one or more Deals, or add it to a Vault for external sharing. Files uploaded anywhere—All Files, a Deal, or a Vault—always remain accessible through All Files so you can move or reuse them later.

Vault Impact on Deals

Vaults allow you to manage and organize files in one place while applying granular Access and Permission settings on a company-to-company basis. Each company you add to a Vault gets a specific link, where you can configure the Access ( who from the company can access it) and Permissions ( what they can do inside the Vault).

Adding a Lender to a Vault is what grants them access to view Files you've added to the Vault, but they won't actually have access until you have sent them their link. When you add a lender to a Vault, you're granting them access to every file in that Vault—both the files already there and any you add in the future. When you add a lender, Lev generates a unique link for that company. Adding them does not notify the lender or send the link automatically; it's up to you to include the link in your communications. Some automated messages in Lev include Vault links by default, and you can edit those templates at any time.
